I bought two new games legit for AU$10 bucks each (Euro$6.10) (Yen$987.52)
The games are Shadow Grounds PC (Windows)
and Conflict Vietname PC (Windows)
So far I have only played Shadow Grounds which is a top down shooter
it was advertised on the box to have 2 to 4 coop
(which is actually 2 to 4 players same pc screen play not MULTPLAYER LAN)
It starts off well I get far into a section of the game then get swarmed by a bunch
of ugly monsters and die , I then choose load game which puts me back into
the begining of the level . WTF .
So we have a game with check points (very few) no manual save and
no auto saving before big battles / boss battles .
I know of a person that is playing GRAW 2 PC single player at the moment
with the same problem , you spend 20 to 50 mins sneaking around in that game
avoiding snippers and suddently get shoot in the back from a guy that randomly
respawns behind you . NO WAY to manualy save in this .
I am glad Shadow grounds is a very cheap game since it hasnt
got manual save in Solo Single player mode
and doesnt have LAN Multiplayer coop.
This Shadow grounds is yet another game that you can by
CHEAPER in a RETAIL STORE on DISC then over the
internet using Online pay to download digital distrubution .
Its sold online on steam (I hate steam) for about 20 bucks
thats 10 bucks more for less. Yeah its going to really
get me to support the exp pack aswell if thats bloody double
the price without manual save and lan coop.
Has anyone else found the HUGE amount of recent
games that dont support manual save game function annoying?

Simcity 5 - Societies (PC) annouced for USA release in Nov 2007
It will be interesting how a game like Simcity that was primary Single player
focus released on the C64, Amiga and MS DOS (PC) will turn out now
Hopefully it wont need a Pixelshader 3 video card , Directx 10 or Vista .

Starcraft 2 for PC annouced - RTS unlike the dead console FPS old project

Its interesting how Blizzard have now changed there tune.
StarCraft: Ghost was annouced in 2006 and was going to be console only
and a FPS instead of RTS (bad idea any FPS on the console)

Now they bring back a old classic , redone with recent graphics and new tcp support
It will be interesting how Starcraft 2 plans out , what specs you need
if they add co-op to the game and release a free standalone dedicated server
for isps and lanpartys to how a low ping server .
It would be nice to see a Linux edition of Starcraft 2 aswell
It will no doubt be a popular lan game and online with its clan matching support
Im sure that lanpartys will probly start playing Starcraft 1 and broadwars again
